Black Cat White Cat refers to images shot, manipulated, altered, and otherwise creatively re-produced by some combination of the eyes and tools of both Sofiya Shrayber and Hilary Hulteen. The same image shot may be alternately manipulated or produced by either party at any time; Details regarding any final imagery credited to Black Cat White Cat may be requested from either artist. Any other individuals participating in some way in the production of any final image are credited by name. Black Cat White Cat is also the moniker under which the women DJ. Sofiya Shrayber is a photographer, designer, and graphic artist, former booker for New York City's Mehanata (Bulgarian Bar), and was a co-producer of the first annual NY Gypsy Film Festival in the fall of 2007. Based at "Shtetl Sofiya" in remnants of the Lower East Side, she also functions presently as primary costume designer and traveling seamstress with New York-based gypsy-punk band Gogol Bordello.
